Sundarban Hilsa Festival has become a tradition in entire sundarban. It is a 2 Nights 3 Days Special Tour to Sundarban. Though Hilsa is relating to Bangalee but now irrespective of caste, creed and religion almost everyone oozes saliva after hearing the name of it. Festivals means fair so different people who love Hilsa and looking for the best taste and smell of it gets crowd in this festival because Hilsa is the king of fishes. July and August is the hot season of Sundarban Hilsa Festival. Day by day the festival has got its importance for its own qualitative services. This is the reason tourists gather every year to have the taste of it from different areas of our country and abroad. Different varieties of Hilsa dishes made this festival more tasty and memorable. Almost all tasty dishes are served in this festival so that tourists can bear the taste even after leaving sundarban.

As the name is Sundarban Hilsa Festival so the meaning lies on its name. Most of the fresh Hilsa fishes are collected from sundarban fishermen who catch fishes from sundarban estuarine rivers mainly from Jharkhali. From day one to last everyday you must enjoy the taste and smell of it in the day and in the night. All the delicious Hilsa Dishes must make you feel what the charms of Hilsa. Dishes like Mustard Hilsa, Vapoured Hilsa, Brinjle Hilsa, Hilsa Biriyani, Hilsa polao, Dahi Hilsa, Hilsa Tok, Hilsa Fry, Hilsa posto, Cocoanut Hilsa and so on is there available in this festival. Just feel while travelling through water floating on lonch and boat and watching green forest and wildlife along with the taste of delicious Hilsa dishes you must feel amazing. Like the river Padma our sundarban rivers have also tasty Hilsa collected by our local fishermen. Not only that on the first evening there we organise local folk cultural performance which will also give you the another amusement and catchy moments to make you joyous.
Sundarban Hilsa Festival Contest 2023
Every year we do something to provide our tourists more pleasure. This year also for the first time we are going to organise a Hilsa Festival Contest 2023 among our tourists. In this contest we will provide our winners (First, Second and Third) a Memory of Sundarban Hilsa Festival 2023 so that you can enjoy more with us. Its really an important event to be implemented in this year after the advice of our valuable tourists who already had a nice moments with us previous year. Mainly the contest will take place through out the month of August 2023 (Each Friday to Sunday ie Aug 4-6, Aug 11-13, Aug 18-20, Aug 25-27) and Aug 13-15. Cost and Duration of Sundarban Hilsa Festival
It is a 2 nights 3 days Sundarban Hilsa Festival package tour starts from July to August. The most enjoyable Tour cum festival of sundarban. The journey starts sharp at 8 am from pick point.
From Kolkata to Kolkata (Non AC Car) it costs around Rs.4800/- per head including Non Ac Hotel Stay and 5 Meals, 5 Tiffins and 2 Time Pass Tiffins with tea/coffee.
From Kolkata to Kolkata (AC Car) it costs around Rs.5800/- per head including Ac Hotel Stay and 5 Meals, 5 Tiffins and 2 Time Pass Tiffins with tea/coffee.

Itinerary of Sundarban Hilsa Festival
Day 1 :
Journey starts from 8 am. Breakfast to be served on the way to Basanti with a single 500 ml water bottle. Boarding on boat is around 11am.
Boat journey starts around 11.30 – 12 Noon with welcome drink and Tea/ Coffee. Before lunch there is a Time Pass tiffin and Gosaba Hamilton Bunglow visit.
Lunch is consisted of rice, veg fry, daal, vegetable curry, brinjle hilsa, mustard hilsa, chatni, papar.
Check in Hotel at around 5PM
In the evening there is either chicken pakora or veg pakora or masala muri etc. with tea/coffee.
Before dinner local Folk Performance programe to be played by local people in hotel campus.
Dinner is consisted of rice, veg fry, daal, Hilsa fish, mutton, chatni, papar.
Day 2
Bed Tea in the morning with biscuits.
Boat journey starts around 7.30 in the morning.
Breakfast is at 8.30 am with Luchi, Alurdom, sweet and boiled egg, tea/coffe.
Before lunch there is a Time Pass tiffin on the way of visiting Sundarban National Park on running boat.
Lunch is consisted of rice, veg fry, daal, vegetable curry, dahi hilsa, hilsa tok, chatni, papar.
Spots to be visited are Sajinakhali Tiger Reserve, Sudhanyakhali Tiger Reserve, Bonbibi Varani, Sundarkhali, Peerkhali, Gazikhali, Choragazikhali, Dobanki Tiger Reserve and Panchamukhi. (As per weather it may be changed)

Before dinner the most awaiting event of Sundarban Hilsa Festival Contest 2023 to be done among our valuable tourists who are waiting for long to enjoy this event. There are a few surprise gifts for the tourists who will win in this contest. The main subject of the event is related to Hilsa and Sundarban. Firstly all our tourists will gather in hotel campus event place and we shall start our event by asking right answers of questions. Finally we will select 3 winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd) for our surprise gifts.
Dinner is consisted of rice, veg fry, daal, Hilsa Biriyani, Chicken, chatni, papar.
Day 3
Bed Tea in the morning with biscuits.

Breakfast is at 8.30 am with Radhaballavi, Chholar Daal, sweet and boiled egg with tea/coffe.
Lunch is consisted of rice, veg fry, daal, vegetable curry, hilsa polao, prawn malaikari, chatni, papar.
